While our country deals with this growing pandemic, we have had to make some changes to how we do our audits. Currently, we are not able to offer blower door tests on existing residential homes. This policy was not put in place by us, but was put in to place by our 2 governing bodies: the Building Performance Institute, and NYSERDA. This policy was put in place to ensure both the health and safety of the homeowners, and the contractors. We will continue to adapt our policies to the current standards put in place by both BPI and NYSERDA.
Keep checking back for more updates, and as always, all of here at The Insulation Man wish you safe and healthy days going forward.
My husband and I purchased our 1960's house in 2006. We immediately noticed that it was very cold and drafty. We were spending up to $200 a month on natural gas alone and our house wasn't even 67 degrees.
