WHAT IS AN ENERGY ASSESSMENT?
An energy assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of your insulation, air leakage, heating and cooling systems, and other factors that affect your home’s energy efficiency. Our energy assessmentors use advanced diagnostic tools including blower door testing and infrared imaging to look for air leaks, check insulation levels in your wall cavities and attic spaces, and more.
Armed with the data collected during your audit, we will recommend improvements, such as air sealing or spray foam insulation, that will make the biggest difference in your home’s comfort and in your energy bills. We’ll also discuss the cost of having these upgrades completed and help you prioritize improvements in accordance with your budget.
An energy assessment is also the first step in qualifying for incentives and financing from NYSERDA.
